Hi. I'm Remington. I was born in San Shui, China in 1998 and immigrated to the United States when I was adopted at the age 6-months. I attended Samford University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, Pre-Med in 2021. I worked as a Patient Care Technician at Children's Hospital of Alabama for 3-years following graduation, and was accepted into Medical School in February 2024. I am currently a first year medical student at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Auburn University campus in Auburn, Alabama. I really enjoy genomics and genetics and would like to pursue a career in Pediatric Medicine, so I can help other children like my two younger sisters.
I enjoy working in Pediatric Medicine and being involved in One Less Broken Heart provides me a unique opportunity to continue helping kids with serious health conditions outside the clinic. I have seen first-hand how challenging it is for families raising a child with a rare disease, and I would like to to support these families not only as a future pediatric physician, but as a patient advocate as well.
